New Faculty Majority Foundation works collaboratively with NFM and other advocacy and research organizations to educate the public and policymakers about critical issues related to the quality of higher education and the integrity of the profession of postsecondary teaching and research. We advocate for reform and are a leading voice in research and dialogue about proposed solutions to the crisis of contingent academic employment.
Among the issues we are working on:
Accurate Data Collection, Disclosure, and Accountability by Institutions of Higher Education
Transformation of Compensation Policies from Pay to Retirement
Revision of Existing Federal and State Laws and Institutional Policies to Accurately Reflect and Address Current Contingent Academic Employment Practices (Ex: Unemployment Insurance, FLSA Protection, Affordable Care Act Hours-per-Work Week Calculations, Student Loan Forgiveness)
